APPLE FLOWERS IN VASE
Make your Rosh Hashanah extra beautiful by creating an apple “flower” bouquet and putting them in a vase (ideally a recycled bottle). You and your family will have an extra festive and sweet new year celebration with this unique and meaningful display that makes a great centerpiece, too!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
-Red cardstock or any color/pattern you want your apples to be
-An apple-shaped paper punch (or you can draw and cut the apples yourself)
-Green pipe cleaners for the stems
-Glue
-Recycled bottle for your vase
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
(1) Make your apples, either by drawing them and cutting them yourself or by using an apple-shaped paper punch. You’ll want to have two apples (a front and a back) for each stem. (2) Glue a “front” apple to a “back” apple with the end of a pipe cleaner in between. Remember, a little glue goes a long way; so don’t use too much. Just to hold everything together while it dries, you may want to put some weight (a book, for example) on top. (3) Choose, and, if you want, decorate your vase (a recycled bottle works great for this). (4) Once your apple flowers are dry, arrange them however you want in the vase. (5) Find a spot to display your festive apple flowers!
