WOODEN PAINTED APPLES
Your Rosh Hashanah will be extra festive with some colorful Wooden Painted Apples! Back-to-school season is timed just right with Rosh Hashanah, and at this time of year, you’ll find lots of options of unfinished apples that are perfect to use as Rosh Hashanah decorations. Have your kiddos decorate them however they like, and give them the honor of decorating your home and table so that your family has a super sweet start to the new year!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
-Wooden apples (if you Google “wooden apples for crafts unfinished,” you will find lots of options)
-Paint (I used acrylic)
-Paintbrushes
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
(1) Paint the stems first and allow them to completely dry. (2) Paint the top section* of each apple and allow them to completely dry. (3) Paint the bottom section of the apples and allow them to completely dry. (4) Now you can put your beautiful apples in a bowl as a decoration for your Rosh Hashanah table or put one at each person’s spot at the table. Alternatively, you can use the apples however you like! * If you’re painting a 2D apple, you can paint the whole thing at once. If you’re painting a 3D apple, you’ll have to do it in a couple of different sections, allowing each section to dry in between — otherwise, it’s tricky to hold the apple without touching wet paint.
