CORK-STAMPED APPLE CARDS
Looking for a creative and simple way for your kiddos to make homemade Rosh Hashanah cards? Look no further — these Cork-Stamped Apple Cards are so fun to make, and they look beautiful! Kids will love dipping the cork into paint and then stamping it onto a blank card to create an apple. They can create traditional apple colors — red, green, and yellow — and/or they can paint with other bright colors, too! Try pink, purple, blue, turquoise! Friends and family will surely be filled with joy when they receive your festive cards!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
-Corks
-Acrylic or tempura paint (green for leaf, brown for stem, and then whatever colors you want for the apples)
-Paintbrushes (to paint the leaf and stem)
-Blank cards
-Marker or pen to write your message
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
(1) Dip the end of a cork into some paint and then stamp it onto your card (this will be the apple). (2) Repeat step one for as many apples as you would like on your card. (3) Allow the paint to dry for at least 30 minutes if you want to avoid this paint mixing with the brown and green paint. (4) Paint the stem and leaf with simple brush strokes. (5) Allow your card to fully dry. (6) Write your inside message. (7) Send your beautiful card to someone you love!
