JEWISH STAR BOUQUET

Your kiddos will love creating a unique bouquet of Jewish Star “flowers” to make any holiday extra festive or to show some Jewish pride! Step One of this fun and simple craft is downloading the free Jewish Star Template and cutting out a Jewish Star (there are different sizes to choose from). From there, just trace, cut, glue, and voila — you have a Jewish Star Bouquet! Use it as a colorful centerpiece or put it anywhere that you wish to have a reminder of all the beautiful ways living Jewishly brings us meaning, connection, and joy!

HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:

-Jewish Star Template
-Cardstock paper in whatever color(s) you like
-Pipe cleaners in whatever color(s) you like
-Scissors
-Pen (to trace the stars)
-Glue
-Recycled jar or bottle for the vase

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

(1) Download and print the free Jewish Star Template onto cardstock paper. (2) Choose which size you like (I used the medium size) and then cut it out. (3) Place the Jewish Star cutout onto your paper and trace around the edge. (4) Cut out that Jewish Star. (5) Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until you have as many Jewish Stars as you want, keeping in mind that you will need two Jewish Stars (a front and a back) for each “flower.” (6) To make a “flower,” put a drop of glue onto the back of one of the Jewish Stars. Next place the top of one pipe cleaner into that dab of glue, and add an additional dab of glue to that same top of the pipe cleaner, and place another Jewish Star on top. It really helps to put a can or jar on top of this “flower sandwich” so that the glue dries securely. (7) Wait at least 30 minutes (even longer than that to be on the safe side) for the glue to dry. (8) Once the “flowers” are dry, place them in a recycled jar or bottle. Note that you may want to trim the ends of the pipe cleaners so that you have shorter flowers. I trimmed mine about two inches shorter.
