WASHI TAPE MENORAH
This craft has been a fan-favorite with my kindergarten synagogue students for years! Kids (and kids at heart of all ages) will love bringing more joy and light into the world with this fun Chanukah craft! Make sure you download the free Washi Tape Menorah PDF (pictured here), which will be a great starting point for your kiddos. You could even print eight copies so that there’s one for each night of Chanukah!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
-Free Washi Tape Menorah PDF
-Washi tape
-Yellow marker
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
(1) Print out the free Washi Tape Menorah PDF. It would be fun to print eight copies so that your kiddos could do this simple craft each night of Chanukah! (2) Cut a piece of washi tape about three to four inches long and put it in the middle shamash spot — remember, the shamash, which is the “helper” candle is always taller than the eight “regular” candles. (3) Next, add each washi tape candle to the menorah, starting at the far right “1” spot and adding them to the left. (4) Finally, “light” the candles by drawing a flame with a yellow marker — “lighting” the shamash first and then “lighting” the most recent night’s candle and then also all the candles to the right of that candle.
