CUPCAKE PAPER SEDER PLATE
Won’t your kiddos be bursting with pride when they have their very own seder plate at your family Passover seder?! This adorable craft is fun and easy, and your kiddos will be able to put real seder plate foods in the little cupcake papers if they wish. How fun that will be! I created a Passover Seder Plate PDF (it’s free — yay!), which includes graphics of each seder plate food and also blank circles if they want to draw their own pictures. Chag Pesach Sameach!
HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED:
-Round piece of cardboard (I used a 10” cakeboard)
-Cupcake papers
-Passover Seder Plate PDF
-Scissors
-Paint (I used acrylic paint)
-Paintbrush
-Glue
-Optional: If you want to dye the tops of the cupcake papers, you can dip them in paint or use markers. For this example, I dipped them in food coloring. This turned out nice; BUT… the food coloring didn’t really dry and was therefore messy. Paint or markers is a better way to go.
HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:
(1) Paint the round piece of cardboard in whatever color(s) you like and allow it to dry fully. (2) If you want to paint the cupcake papers, do that next. Alternatively, you can use markers to decorate them. Of course, you can leave them plain if you wish. (3) Print the Passover Seder Plate PDF and cut out the circles. (4) Once the cupcake papers are dry, glue one of the little seder plate circles into each of the cupcake papers. The bigger “Passover” circle is for the middle of the seder plate. Please note that the PDF also includes blank circles so that you can draw your own pictures and write your own words. (5) Finally, glue each cupcake paper onto the round cardboard and allow the glue to fully dry. (6) Now you can add the actual food items to each cupake paper and showcase your beautiful seder plate at your seder! Chag Pesach Sameach!
